About The Position

The CT Technologist performs CT procedures on patients and completes related tasks to reflect CT services provided. This is a part-time position with 40 hours per bi-weekly pay period, working evening shifts from 3p-11:30p, with rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology or nuclear medicine.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or Society of Nuclear Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and explain procedures.
  • Answer questions and instruct patients during procedures.
  • Perform CT scans and teach other staff procedures according to established protocols.
  • Position patients for exams, utilizing positioning aids for precise views.
  • Determine correct scanning protocols and exposure factors for exams.
  • Monitor images and modify imaging protocols to achieve optimum examination results, prioritizing dose reduction.
  • Label scans appropriately and review and submit studies in PACS.
  • Prepare contrast media and administer to patients.
  • Interpret and follow Renal Prophylaxis Protocol and raise questions when necessary.
  • Maintain inventory and perform minor equipment repairs or adjustments.
  • Recognize the need for equipment repairs and environment improvements and submit work orders.
  • Maintain patient logs and CTDI reporting.
