About The Position

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic CT examinations and aiding physicians during invasive CT procedures. This role involves operating CT and associated equipment, administering contrast media, and assisting physicians with special procedures. Quality assurance and patient care are key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA approved institution.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in both Radiography and CT.
  • Licensure maintenance as required by the state of Ohio.
  • Current CPR certification or When Seconds Count certification.
  • Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently for lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects, including patients.
  • Positions include sedentary work with potential walking or standing requirements for brief durations.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of two years' experience in a diagnostic imaging setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performing and documenting diagnostic CT examinations as per physician orders.
  • Ensuring appropriate communication handoffs and continuity of care to the next caregiver.
  • Analyzing CT examinations for quality assurance.
  • Preparing completed exams for evaluation by radiologists.
  • Operating all CT and associated equipment, as well as facility computer systems.
  • Administering oral and intravenous contrast media under physician direction and protocol.
  • Safely transporting, moving, and positioning patients.
  • Assisting physicians with special procedures involving CT.
  • Participating in quality assurance and quality control activities related to CT.
