The CT Technologist I performs routine computed tomography (CT) examinations in accordance with established protocols, policies, and safety standards, with guidance as needed. This role involves utilizing core knowledge, skills, abilities, and available resources to provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care and support services under routine or emergent conditions. Care is delivered under appropriate supervision across a variety of settings. The technologist prepares patients for procedures, correlates clinical history with physician-ordered exams, and safely administers contrast per protocol. They demonstrate the ability to recognize basic imaging artifacts and implement corrective measures. Effective communication and collaboration with patients, families, and the care team are essential for desired clinical outcomes and service standards. The role also includes accurately transferring images and data, completing technical documentation, performing quality control checks, cleaning, and basic equipment maintenance. Active participation in continuing education and professional development is expected, along with supporting inventory tasks to ensure supply availability. Other duties as assigned.
