About The Position

We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will perform computed tomography and radiographic examinations, ensure patient safety and comfort, maintain imaging quality standards, and collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnoses and patient care.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent accredited radiologic technology program required.
  • Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License/Registration required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of CT and/or MRI experience as a Radiologic Technologist required.
  • Experience performing diagnostic radiology examinations in a clinical or hospital setting required.
  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures and radiographic techniques.
  • Proficiency in operating advanced imaging equipment.
  • Knowledge of radiation protection and patient safety practices.
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and image quality standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment concerns and communicate effectively with leadership.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services.

Nice To Haves

  • CT certification and/or advanced imaging credentials preferred according to facility requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT and diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining examinations and addressing patient concerns.
  • Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Operate CT scanners and radiologic imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Utilize radiation safety practices to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Review images for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within electronic systems.
  • Input required information for documentation, billing, and imaging workflow purposes.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions or maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, quality assurance standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
