About The Position

This position is responsible for performing CAT Scan radiology studies. The technologist will obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns. They will also prepare and maintain the CAT Scan or radiographic room, select and operate equipment, and manage necessary supplies. The role involves ensuring adherence to departmental policies, quality assurance, and safety standards, as well as participating in professional development and meetings.

Requirements

• Graduate of AMA accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registration as Radiologic Technologist.
• Minimum of one year of experience in diagnostic Radiology.
• Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
• 20/20 or correctable vision necessary to perform and interpret scans.
• Must have the ability to hear and speak to patients presenting for various procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department, such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress reports, and other such reports.
• Performs CAT Scan radiology studies; obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
• Transports patients to CAT Scan or radiographic room; prepares and maintains room for daily activities.
• Selects and operates equipment as directed.
• Requests and orders supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all times.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
• Attends meetings as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
