About The Position

At University Cancer & Blood Center (UCBC), we pride ourselves on listening, providing hope, guidance, and comfort, and striving to make a positive impact on the lives of patients and their families. We are looking for a full-time CT technologist to join our growing and dynamic team. This position offers a Monday-Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, or call.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited School of Radiology required with ARRT CT Certification
  • Two or more years of CT experience necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine and emergent CT examinations in accordance with department policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Performs and documents patient assessment/history related to procedures and provides patient care to meet patient’s physical and psychological needs.
  • Provides patient and family education related to imaging procedures.
  • Communicates with other departments to ensure continuity and appropriateness of patient care.
  • Performs and documents equipment's QC according to department protocol.
  • Recognizes and reports any malfunctions or variations to physicians or Administrator.
  • Uses proper shielding, distance, and time limitations without exception to protect self and others against ionizing radiation.
  • Wears personal monitoring device on collar and submits regularly for assessment of occupational dosage.
  • Responsible for maintaining and ordering supplies for department.
  • Participates in educational seminars, committees and conference.
  • Utilizes professional affiliations and maintains knowledge and expertise in leading edge developments in innovative technology.
