About The Position

The CT Technologist works under the supervision of Director, Radiology Manager, Associate Director, Lead Technologist and physicians in Radiology. The CT Technologists perform scans using computed tomography to create a cross section of patient's internal organs for medical analysis. They also prepare and administer contrast agents to obtain some images. CT Technologists may work in various clinical environments, such as the hospital or diagnostic imaging centers. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Requirements

  • Completion of Radiologic Technology program.
  • Radiography (R ) - Required Upon Hire
  • Computed Tomography (CT) - Required Upon Hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required Upon Hire
  • Must be able to travel between various system facilities and off-site locations as needed.
  • Inputting data, calibrating equipment, answering telephone, speaking clearly, manipulating small items, fine motor skills, knowledge of body mechanics and CPR.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with patients, staff, visitors, physicians, etc.
  • Must work well as a team member.
  • Walking, pushing, pulling, heavy lifting, restraining, standing, kneeling, moving equipment, speaking.
  • Manipulate numbers, interpret data, explain, and assess, adaptability, reading, and organizational skills.
  • Visual skills, hearing and speaking.
  • Radiation, body fluids, needle sticks, hazardous material.
  • Caregivers must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in all age groups.

  • 3 Years - Experience in CT

Responsibilities

  • Interpret a physician's instructions.
  • Screen patients for safety.
  • Explain CT procedures to patients.
  • Prepare patients for procedures.
  • Select software options and imaging parameters when adjusting a CT scanner.
  • View images from an imaging session and keep records of the results.
  • Review and complete patient exam and charges within the radiology information system.
  • Other duties as assigned
