As a CT Technologist at SJHMC, you will be responsible for capturing precise diagnostic images to aid in the diagnosis and/or ruling out of medical conditions. This involves creating detailed cross-sectional images of the body, ensuring a positive and comforting patient experience through compassionate interaction and skilled care. A strong understanding of diagnostic imaging workflow, patient positioning, and producing clear results for timely diagnoses is essential.

Requirements

  • Completion of approved radiologic technology program in radiography or nuclear medicine technology.
  • Minimum two (2) years of CT experience.
  • CT Radiology Tech: AZ.
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of CT experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations (e.g., Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro, and Interventional Procedures).
  • Assists Interventional Radiologist by accurately scanning the area of interest requested by the Radiologist (e.g., biopsies and drainages).
  • Ensures patient is ready for scan (e.g., confirms appropriate gauge IV needle, appropriate type/dose of contrast, and allergy status).
  • Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol (e.g., completes exams in Radnet, incident reports/extravasation forms, patient contrast information forms, side/site forms, and documents exam information in CT log).
  • Performs protocol management by evaluating and determining the area of interest and type of scan to be performed on the patient, consulting with a physician as necessary.
  • Encourages good working relationships and promotes team effort within the department by communicating in a positive manner and motivating staff.
