About The Position

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis in Apple Valley, CA. This role involves performing CT examinations, ensuring patient safety and comfort, administering contrast media, operating CT equipment, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience with 1 year recent experience in CT technology.
• CA State license.
• BLS certification.
• ARRT (R)(CT) certification.
• CA CRT certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for CT procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Administer contrast media in accordance with facility policies and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Operate CT imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Verify patient identity, review medical history, and explain imaging procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
• Perform routine equipment quality control and report equipment concerns promptly.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines, ALARA principles, infection prevention protocols, and departmental policies.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
