About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital Pensacola is a 52-bed facility that combines a critical illness recovery hospital and an acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Our critical illness recovery hospital is committed to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. This is a Per Diem/PRN position with a compensation of $36.00 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold current state license (as required).
• At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist (not including school).
• Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating facility-specific equipment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment.
• Use of proper patient positioning and technical factors to consistently produce quality diagnostic studies.
• Correctly operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of desired patient anatomy.
• Administer contrast media as directed by referring physician.
• Monitor the patient for any adverse drug events and report accordingly.
• Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
• Perform clerical duties, as needed, such as answering phones.
