About The Position

Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced CT Technologist to join their team. The role involves performing all required CAT Scan Examinations, including angiography. The technologist will select appropriate imaging techniques, ensure knowledge of radiation safety and infection control, assess patient conditions, perform intravenous injections of CT contrast, and ensure patient safety. They will also review exams for technical accuracy, present completed exams to the radiologist, and communicate pertinent data to the patient's care team.

Requirements

  • Completion of Certified CAT scan program.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in both Radiography and CAT scan.
  • State licensure as a Radiographer.
  • Registry eligible candidates have one year from date of hire to obtain the certification.
  • 1-year working in a CAT Scan Technologist capacity preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all required CAT Scan Examinations to include angiography.
  • Selects the appropriate software/hardware and equipment imaging techniques.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety & protection along with appropriate infection control policies implemented by the department and hospital.
  • Ability to assess patient’s condition performs intravenous injections of CT contrast and ensures patient safety through proper use of equipment.
  • Ability to reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents competed exams to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.
