Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
  • Graduate from an approved Radiology Technology program
  • ARRT (R) (CT)
  • MRT- General Certificate
  • CT registry within one year of hire
  • BCLS certification through American Heart Association
  • Proven ability to use computer keyboard and grasp advanced elements of computed tomography
  • Proven excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of CT school
  • 1+ years of PACS and RIS experience
  • Radiology Technologist experience
  • Experience on a multi-slice scanner
  • Venipuncture IV administration experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and/or Excel
  • Proven Bi-lingual or multi-lingual

Responsibilities

  • Able to operate all CT equipment.
  • Able to perform all aspects of studies in accordance with Department and Clinic standards, policies and procedures.
  • Able to perform exams to produce satisfactory diagnostic studies for interpretation.
  • Abide by radiation safety protocols and maintain records required to comply with state regulations.
  • Able to perform sterile technique and administer of intravenous contrast.
  • Ability to access the radiology information system and imaging archive system.
  • Familiar with the operation and calibration of the imaging and processing equipment.
  • Able to trouble shoot problems and familiar with the service arrangements for the equipment.
  • Able to communicate with staff, providers, and patients professionally in person and over the phone.
  • Assists with orientation of new employees and helps instruct radiology technology students.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor and Manager.
  • Maintains a neat and professional appearance and work area.
  • Participates in continuing education programs as required by the licensure board and Clinic quality improvement activities and in-services.
  • Participates in the Clinic Environment Health and Safety Programs.
