We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated CT Technologist with at least six months of CT experience to join our pediatric hospital team, caring for patients from neonates to young adults. In this role, you’ll perform a wide variety of exams including; cardiac imaging, interventional radiology support, and trauma cases, while delivering safe, high-quality care using state-of-the-art equipment in a growing hospital environment. Pediatric experience is preferred but not required, as we provide an extensive, supportive onboarding and training program to help you feel confident and successful. Overview Under the direction of a physician, the Computed Tomography Technologist is committed to applying the art and skill of diagnostic CT imaging through safe and effective usage of all equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, patient contact, the preparation and administration of oral or IV contrast materials, use of ionizing radiation, patient imaging procedures including computer processing and image enhancements, quality control and radiation safety. Participates in department and hospital LEAN improvement activities that align with the five True North Pillars. In addition, supports the CMH Service Excellence Program through demonstrated knowledge of CMH Shared Values, Mission and Vision, and Strategic Plan. Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • 1-2 years experience
  • Employees must obtain Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT CT or equivalent within 730 days
  • RT - ARRT NAT Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT Professional registration (ARRT) Required Upon Hire
  • CT-ARRT NAT Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT CT ARRT registration in CT within 24 months Required
  • Current CEUs per requirements Required Upon Hire
  • BLS certification Required 30 Days
  • For Kansas locations, current licensure as a State of Kansas Radiologic Technologist Required 90 Days

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Performs all CT procedures per department protocol. Must be completely competent with general diagnostic exams, as well as all computed tomography diagnostic equipment.
  • Performs essential RIS/HIS functions. Performs and maintains LEAN practices as it relates to Patient Safety and Quality.
  • Assists radiologist in all appropriate procedures.
