About The Position

A healthcare organization in Show Low, Arizona, is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join its Diagnostic Imaging team on the night shift. The CT Technologist will perform high-quality CT and diagnostic radiographic examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging results. The position supports both hospital-based Diagnostic Imaging and outpatient imaging services and may assist with additional imaging responsibilities based on department needs. Candidates must have at least two years of relevant imaging experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of relevant CT or diagnostic imaging experience
  • Appropriate CT and Radiologic Technologist credentials and state licensure as required
  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures and radiation safety
  • Ability to consistently produce diagnostic-quality images
  • Strong patient-positioning and technical imaging skills
  • Excellent communication and patient-care abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Ability to work independently during night-shift operations
  • Ability to participate in on-call coverage when required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous acute-care hospital CT experience
  • Experience performing both CT and general radiographic examinations
  • Experience working in both inpatient and outpatient imaging environments
  • Experience assisting in multiple imaging modalities
  • More than two years of CT Technologist experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality CT examinations according to established imaging protocols
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations as assigned
  • Review and confirm physician orders before beginning examinations
  • Verify patient identity and ensure the appropriate examination is performed
  • Prepare and position patients accurately for CT and radiographic procedures
  • Select appropriate imaging parameters to obtain diagnostic-quality studies
  • Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond appropriately to changes in condition
  • Provide clear explanations of procedures and address patient questions
  • Maintain patient safety, privacy, dignity, and comfort throughout the imaging process
  • Serve as a patient advocate and promote established patient-safety standards
  • Review completed images for technical quality and completeness
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff
  • Assist with patient transportation when necessary
  • Support other imaging modalities based on department needs and demonstrated competency
  • Maintain appropriate department supplies and assist with inventory management
  • Answer and route department phone calls as needed
  • Participate in department meetings, hospital forums, in-services, and continuing education
  • Review and follow departmental and hospital policies and procedures
  • Participate in on-call coverage when required
  • Perform other related imaging responsibilities as assigned
