About The Position
Prime Healthcare is seeking a full-time CT Technologist for their location in Mesquite, TX. This position involves preparing patients for CT scans, operating CT scanners and X-ray machines, monitoring patient comfort and safety, assisting radiologists, performing quality assurance on equipment, and maintaining radiologic supplies and infection control protocols. The role requires maintaining ARRT registry status.
Requirements
- Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required.
- Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
- Radiology/ CT license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
- ARRT-CT Certification is required.
- Must possess and maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire.
- Proficient computer skills.

- One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the Computer Tomography (CT) table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may have.
- Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safety at all times.
- Monitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Assist other radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may also assist in administering contrast agents or perform certain procedures.
- Accountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produce accurate images.
- Responsible for maintaining radiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocols regarding infection control and hygiene.
- Maintain your register status for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
