The CT Technologist is responsible for performing CT scans and assisting Radiologists/PAs during invasive procedures. This role involves patient care, including preparing patients for procedures, explaining procedures, obtaining medical history, and administering IV contrast according to protocols. The technologist must evaluate image quality, recognize abnormal anatomy, and perform basic patient care functions. They are also responsible for operating the radiology computer system, documenting procedures, maintaining the work area, and adhering to radiation safety principles and hospital policies.
