About The Position

Saint Alphonsus is hiring a PRN CT Technologist in Ontario, Oregon. The CT Technologist performs imaging procedures on patients of all ages according to approved protocols, radiation safety practices, and established exam indicators. The role maintains knowledge of equipment and supplies needed for high-quality exams, evaluates requested exams to assist radiologists, schedules patients and obtains their histories, and communicates effectively with patients while considering their age and mental capacity. Travel between Saint Alphonsus Health System sites may be required.

Requirements

Registration as a Computed Tomography (CT) technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
If Oregon is the primary work state, obtain a Medical Imaging License for CT issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) before the hire date.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network at hire, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS or as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.

Responsibilities

Perform CT procedures on patients of all ages according to approved protocols, radiation safety practices, and established exam indicators.
Maintain knowledge of equipment, instruments, and supplies pertinent to high-quality exams.
Evaluate the appropriateness of requested exams to assist radiologists.
Schedule patients and obtain their histories.
Provide effective internal and external patient communication appropriate to patients’ age and mental capacity.
Travel between Saint Alphonsus Health System sites as needed.
