The CT Technologist I performs procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, operating CT Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency. This includes equipment such as the scanner, post-processing stations/programs, IV contrast injectors, O2 and suction equipment, and patient transport and monitoring equipment. The role involves patient interaction, medical history review, contrast administration, image quality evaluation, and basic patient care functions, including initiating life support measures when necessary. The technologist also assists during invasive procedures and adheres to radiation safety principles and infection control policies. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including rotations, call back, holidays, and weekends, and accurate and timely documentation within the radiology computer system and MAR.
