About The Position

As our CT Technologist II, you will leverage your advanced expertise in Computed Tomography to perform critical diagnostic imaging within a leading healthcare system. You will be instrumental in producing high-quality CT scans, including specialized procedures like Trauma/ER, Perfusions, and Cardiac studies, using state-of-the-art equipment. Every day you will meticulously perform a wide range of CT scans, expertly positioning patients and utilizing ALARA principles for radiation safety. You will accurately administer contrast media, manage patient identification, and proficiently operate a 3-D workstation software for work-ups and reconstructions. Your responsibilities include maintaining equipment, documenting patient and contrast information, and ensuring seamless integration with PACS, Radnet, and other hospital systems.

Requirements

  • Current ARRT (R) certifications
  • Current ARRT (CT) certifications
  • Valid AZ Medical Radiographer (MRAD:AZ) license
  • Valid CT Radiology Tech (CTRAD:AZ) license
  • Completion of approved AmericanRegistry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or equivalent approved RadiologicTechnologist Program
  • Medical Radiographer: AZ
  • CT Radiology Tech: AZ
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of CT experience is preferred
  • Demonstrating ability to perform complex procedures independently and with high proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations.
  • CT scans include but are not limited to: Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro, Cardiac and Interventional Procedures.
  • Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others.
  • Uses ALARA on every exam when selecting parameters for exam based on patient age and habitatus.
  • Displays competency performing procedures; follows National Patient Safety Goals for two patient identifier, hand hygiene and universal precautions.
  • Always produces high quality diagnostic exams.
  • Accurately enters, selects and/or merges the correct patient identification information on the scanner and in PAC system.
  • Accurately and proficiently performs work-ups, such as perfusions & reconstructions, on the 3-D workstation.
  • Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol.
  • Completes exams in Radnet.
