About The Position

CT Technologists are responsible for explaining radiographic procedures to patients, collecting accurate patient histories, performing clinical diagnostic examinations, and preparing rooms. They operate CT equipment under the direction of a Radiologist to produce images for diagnostic and interventional procedures, and properly enter patient and exam data into the Radiology Information System.

Requirements

  • 1-3 months experience and/or training required
  • Satisfactory formal training in an approved program
  • ARRT certification required

Responsibilities

  • Explains radiographic procedure to the patient and collects accurate patient history.
  • Performs clinical diagnostic examinations including any necessary room preparation.
  • Properly enters patient and exam data into the Radiology Information System.
  • Operates CT equipment to produce CT images of the body for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
