Emory Healthcare is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment, power injectors, and other medical equipment to produce scans (x-rays) for diagnostic and invasive procedures. The role involves providing quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, preparing patients with proper sterile technique, and communicating patient needs and responses effectively. The technologist will ensure documentation is complete and accurate, maintain proper operation of imaging and specialty equipment, and minimize patient and staff exposure to x-radiation. Responsibilities include assuming responsibility and providing direct care for all procedures, ensuring patients are prepared, and providing quality care during procedures. The role also involves assisting with patient and family education, potentially supporting research activities, demonstrating adequate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology, and providing complex technical care. The technologist will assist with performing and planning multiple diagnostic procedures and act as a resource for students and junior technicians. Other related duties as required.
