About The Position

The CT Technologist is responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality CT studies. Responsible for ensuring effective communication with customers, radiologists, and potentially training new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators. The role involves producing high quality diagnostic images, troubleshooting scanner and peripheral equipment, and maintaining effective communication with customers and radiologists. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Registered Computed Tomography Technologists by the ARRT.
If allowable by state where service is provided certification by the NMTCB in Computed Tomography acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry.
State license.
Licensed in Medical Imaging, if applicable.
CPR certification.
Active State Driver’s License.
Strong customer service skills.
Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections.
Use of aseptic injection techniques.
Produces high quality diagnostic images.
Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
Trains new technologist and/or PC's.
Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and all peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, etc.).
Performing mid-day moves.
