About The Position

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a CT and Xray Technologist to join our imaging team at our Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN! This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) that will work the following schedule: Week 1: Tuesday and Wednesday: 9:30AM - 10PM CT, Thursday and Friday: 9:30AM - 6PM Xray Week 2: Thursday and Friday: 9:30AM - 10PM CT, Saturday and Sunday: 9:30AM - 6PM CT Week 3: Tuesday and Wednesday: 9:30AM - 10PM CT, Thursday and Friday: 9:30AM - 6PM Xray Week 4: Tuesday and Wednesday: 8:30AM - 5PM CT, Thursday and Friday: 9:30AM - 10PM CT If the majority of your allocated shift hours are worked between 3pm – 11pm, your hours worked in this shift will receive an additional $6.00 per hour, on top of your base rate & shift differentials. This position is eligible for a sign on bonus that is prorated based on experience. The CT/Xray Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing the responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).

Requirements

  • ARRT Radiology Tech
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience in a related role
  • Additional certifications in Imaging
  • Previous ambulatory care experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Performs excellent patient care
  • Performs examinations
  • Identifies relevant data from images accurately
  • Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.
  • Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
  • Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members
  • Responds appropriately to emergent situations
  • Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving
  • Assesses the validity of the test results to determine if consistent with changing physiological conditions or if due to possible interfering substances
  • Acts as a resource for problem-solving resolution
  • Completed all require continuing education to uphold their imaging licensure
  • Participates as an active team member
  • Accepts new technology as it’s introduced into the facility
  • Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations
  • Position covers hours in both CT and Xray
