The CT Technologist is responsible for performing CT scans on patients, ensuring accurate and timely examinations. This role involves patient preparation, administering contrast, evaluating image quality, and maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure. The technologist also operates radiology computer systems, documents procedures, and maintains the work area. This position requires adherence to radiation safety protocols, infection control procedures, and hospital policies. The technologist must be knowledgeable in principles of growth and development and demonstrate competency appropriate to the patient population served. They will also assist Radiologists/PAs during invasive procedures and respond to medical emergencies.
