Responsibilities
- Consistently selects and performs appropriate CT protocol based on patient’s clinical presentation according to established guidelines.
- Selects reviews and adjusts appropriate technical factors to produce optimal CT images based on patient’s age and physical condition.
- Routinely positions patients properly on CT table.
- Removes all preventable artifacts that may interfere with image quality.
- Consistently completes the full exam- all appropriate paperwork, post-processing and archiving.
- Consistently verifies accurate and complete patient identifiers, procedure and other pertinent information.
- Consistently demonstrates appropriate knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy.
- Demonstrates a good technical knowledge to fully understand and operate the CT scanners and accessory equipment.
- Maintains and cleans all CT equipment to established guidelines.
- Actively keeps work area clean and orderly.
