Orlando Health is a large healthcare system with numerous hospitals and services. The CT Technologist provides quality patient care by performing diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention, while adhering to radiation safety principles. This role involves assessing patient conditions, ensuring successful completion of procedures, and complying with all relevant state and federal regulations. The technologist will also be responsible for proper patient identification, acquiring clinical history, positioning patients and equipment, and ensuring the technical quality of diagnostic images. Additionally, they must apply radiation safety principles, adhere to Quality Control standards, administer contrast medication and venipuncture, provide medical aid in emergencies, and maintain standard precautions. The role also includes assisting in the supervision of students and new technologists, effective use of radiology computer systems, ensuring customer safety, and maintaining regular attendance and compliance with all Orlando Health policies.
