At the administrative direction of the Radiology Director and the clinical direction of the Radiologist, the CT Technologist independently performs the majority of exams with minimal supervision within the section of radiology. This role requires knowledge of Federal and State regulatory agency standards related to healthcare organizations, and the cognitive and technical ability to progressively manage care delivery across the continuum of care. The ability to retrieve, communicate, and present data and information both verbally and in writing is essential. The incumbent will carry out duties by adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acting in the best interest of Three Crosses Regional Hospital, and fully supporting the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an Accredited Radiology/CT Program
  • 2+ years related experience
  • Must be ARRT (R) (CT) registered
  • Active NM MIRTP Licensure (Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Program)
  • Current BLS

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality CT procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely completion of CT/Radiology procedures.
  • Responsible for educating and preparing patients for their examinations.
  • Operate head or body x-ray scanners which create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan.
  • Determine and set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
  • Cleaning and maintaining CT Scan equipment.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule.
  • Attend staff meetings as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
