About The Position

CT Technologist needed within the CT Scan department to capture diagnostic images using computerized tomography equipment. This is a 13-week assignment with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM, 40 hours/week (8x5 or 4x10). Every 4th weekend is required, with no call duties.

Requirements

• 2 years of relevant experience
• CT imaging and equipment operation
• Patient positioning
• Radiocontrast agent administration
• Image quality evaluation
• Patient communication and support

Responsibilities

• Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
• Position patients appropriately to scan specific body areas
• Perform regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong X-ray tube life
• Sterilize radiologic equipment to ensure patient safety
• Correctly interpret doctors' written scanning instructions
• Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance visibility of internal organs and tissues
• Evaluate CT scans to determine technical quality
• Explain scanning procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as needed
