About The Position

Hartford HealthCare is establishing a new Cardiac Evaluation Center in Norwalk, Connecticut, and is seeking a CT Technologist to join their dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with the Heart & Vascular Institute and Cardiology Associates of Fairfield County. The position involves performing diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a dedicated cardiovascular walk-in center, adhering to established protocols to aid in physician diagnosis and treatment. The CT Technologist will select appropriate exposure factors, algorithms, and scan fields, considering patient age and diagnosis to produce technically accurate cross-sectional images. They will also participate in complex invasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist or Physician's Assistant, employing proper sterile technique and generating CT images.

Requirements

Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of job entry date.
Graduate from an accredited Radiography program

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a dedicated cardiovascular walk-in center according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment.
Performs computed tomography (CT) procedures by selecting correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields.
Utilizes the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce technically accurate cross sectional images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis and treatment.
Participates in complex invasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist or Physician's Assistant using proper sterile technique and producing CT images.
