The CT Technologist performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. This position performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Under direction of the Director of Radiology and Imaging, the CT Technologist is responsible for the independent operation of imaging equipment and performing diagnostic examinations. The CT Technologist is responsible for daily operations of the Radiology Department, patient schedule, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA). The CT Technologist maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times, requires initiative and independent judgment, and is self-motivated to increase knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve.
