CT Technologist (non-Certified) 8 Hr - RMIL CT Scan
About The Position
The CT Technologist Trainee (Non-Certified) supports the delivery of high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging services in a fast-paced acute care environment. Under the direct supervision of a certified CT Technologist, this role assists with diagnostic imaging procedures, patient care, and image acquisition, ensuring adherence to established protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. This is a structured training position designed to develop competency in CT imaging and prepare the incumbent to obtain ARRT CT certification within 6 months of hire.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
- Radiology state license is required.
- Current ARRT- RT Certification is required upon hire.
- Must possess and maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire.
- Proficient computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.
- ARRT- CT Certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for providing quality images under the direct supervision of a licensed CT Technologist.
- Works in support of the Radiologist, aiding in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
- Completes all required competencies, exams, and didactics that are required to sit for and complete the ARRT CT examination within 6 months of hire.
- Works under the supervision of the certified CT Technologist until ARRT-CT certification has been obtained.
