The CT Technologist PRN independently performs routine and complex CT examinations, applying established protocols while exercising sound clinical judgment to adapt techniques based on patient condition and diagnostic requirements. This role requires a solid knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, CT imaging principles, and radiologic terminology. The technologist will apply core-level primary specialty theory and techniques to independently perform CT exams, complete post-processing and image analysis, and accurately annotate study data and procedure documentation with minimal guidance. The ability to prioritize and independently complete clinical and non-clinical work assignments with limited direction, applying sound judgment to manage workload, competing priorities, and changing demands is essential. The role also requires the ability to multitask and remain calm in stressful situations, independently adjusting priorities and maintaining focus in fast-paced or changing environments. Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and the ability to apply HIPAA guidelines and standards are necessary. The technologist must be able to work as part of a diverse team and communicate effectively with others, displaying consistency and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled. Sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs, and the ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes are also important.
