About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic CT imaging procedures within a hospital radiology department. The ideal candidate will ensure patient safety, maintain imaging accuracy, and adhere to strict radiation safety standards while delivering exceptional patient care throughout diagnostic procedures.

Requirements

Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T.)
ARRT Certification in Radiography and CT (required)
Current BLS Certification
Minimum 1 year of CT imaging experience
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Responsibilities

Perform CT imaging procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure optimal diagnostic quality
Conduct daily equipment calibration and quality control checks prior to patient scans
Administer contrast media and/or radiopharmaceuticals per physician orders and established protocols
Follow ALARA radiation safety principles at all times
Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and charge records in compliance with department policies
Identify and promptly report any equipment malfunctions or issues
Perform ongoing quality control and safety testing on imaging equipment
Manage patient imaging data for radiologist review and interpretation
Order, verify, and document radiopharmaceutical doses prior to use
Receive and confirm radiopharmaceutical deliveries and verify dosage activity levels
Assess patient needs before, during, and after imaging procedures
Ensure patient comfort, safety, and proper positioning during scans
Respond appropriately to patient concerns during radiology procedures
