About The Position

This is a full-time position for a registered radiology technologist to participate in our Technologist Training Academy (TAA) to cross-train and become a CT Technologist. The role involves learning to perform various standard and specialty Computerized Tomography (CT) procedures accurately, using radiofrequencies, time-varying gradients, and a high magnetic field to produce quality studies under supervision. The trainee will also apply the profession's code of ethics and observe safety measures. Competency in routine CT exams is expected within six months of program commencement.

Requirements

  • Current, valid ARRT certification in your modality
  • Georgia license (or ability to get one) is required
  • Graduate of approved program for Radiological Technology
  • Basic proficiency with computer monitors, keyboard and mouse for scanning, RIS and PACS use
  • Organized, detail oriented, observant
  • Calm and effective communicator
  • Helpful, patient and sympathetic

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of standard and specialty Computerized Tomography (CT) procedures with accuracy.
  • Utilize radiofrequencies, time varying gradients and a high magnetic field.
  • Produce quality studies under a variety of conditions with supervision.
  • Apply the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice.
  • Maintain knowledge of, observe, and enforce the safety measures in Environment of Care.
  • Demonstrate competency performing routine CT exams within six months of commencement of the MRI training program.
