The CT Technologist III is a Full Time, Regular position working 4 10 hour shifts Sunday-Wednesday 8:30am-7pm at Sacred Heart Medical Center. This position is eligible for a $5.00 per hour weekend shift differential on Sunday. SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE FOR EXPERIENCED TECHNOLOGISTS!! The CT Technologist III's primary role is to obtain the safest and highest quality CT exams under the direct or indirect supervision of a radiologist per established Inland Imaging guidelines and protocols. This involves independently performing CT studies, reconstructing images as needed, ensuring proper radiation dose, and communicating with radiologists. The technologist is responsible for preparing equipment and rooms, assisting with patient transportation, preparing contrast dosage, and maintaining sterile procedures for invasive studies. They must also interview and assess patients, obtain detailed histories, review patient preparation checklists, perform parenteral procedures, and use universal precautions. Post-exam, they review studies for quality and acute findings, ensure preauthorization, complete paperwork, build patient exam worklists, present exams in PACS, and prepare studies for radiologist review. Additionally, they manage exam codes for billing, add charges for medications and contrast, and troubleshoot CT equipment. The role may require rotation to other shifts and locations, and may involve working in hospital, urgent care, or clinical settings. The technologist must also maintain strict confidentiality, follow all health and safety policies, and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They must be able to consider individual needs when communicating with and treating patients of all ages and demonstrate professional demeanor, teamwork, and self-directed learning. Quarterly quality assurance meeting attendance is required.
