About The Position

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions. Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process. To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

Requirements

  • Radiologic Technologist Program
  • Medical Radiographer: AZ (MRAD:AZ)
  • CT Radiology Tech: AZ (CTRAD:AZ)
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR) or Registered Technologist Computed Tomography (RTCT)
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of CT experience

Responsibilities

  • Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations. CT scans include but are not limited to: Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro, Cardiac and Interventional Procedures.
  • Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others.
  • Uses ALARA on every exam when selecting parameters for exam based on patient age and habitatus.
  • Displays competency performing procedures; follows National Patient Safety Goals for two patient identifier, hand hygiene and universal precautions.
  • Always produces high quality diagnostic exams.
  • Accurately enters, selects and/or merges the correct patient identification information on the scanner and in PAC system.
  • Accurately and proficiently performs work-ups, such as perfusions & reconstructions, on the 3-D workstation.
  • Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol.
  • Completes exams in Radnet.
  • Completes incident reports/extravasations forms.
  • Completes patient contrast information forms.
  • Scans in documentation as required into PACS.
