About The Position

This position has developed the knowledge to perform quality CT exams in a safe and timely manner while providing excellent patient care. The role involves verifying exams as ordered by a physician, demonstrating knowledge to perform correct scan protocols to decrease radiation exposure to patients, and adhering to all radiation safety recommendations, including patient shielding (ALARA). The technologist will properly administer IV and oral contrast, explain exams/procedures to patients and families, ensure the work area is properly maintained, and stay current with new and evolving technologies in CT. Additionally, the role includes maintaining equipment, requesting service as needed, and complying with all TJC, state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols. Other duties as assigned will also be performed.

Requirements

2 years CT Tech experience
Radiologic Technologist License (RTL) - Arkansas Department of Health
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
Direct - Pediatric experience
ARRT - Computed Tomography (CT) - American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT)
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board

Responsibilities
