About The Position

Albany Memorial Hospital is hiring a full-time, night-shift CT Technologist. Under the direction of the Chief of Medical Imaging, the CT Technologist II performs CT procedures according to department standards and in keeping with the Mercycare Mission and values. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The employer is willing to train Radiologic Technologists.

Requirements

Associate of Applied Science degree in Radiologic Technology.
At least 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
Current ARRT registration.
New York State license.
Certification to inject.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Siemens equipment.

Responsibilities

Obtain and record a complete clinical history pertinent to the requested examination.
Evaluate requests for appropriateness and refer concerns to the coordinator and/or radiologist.
Instruct patients about the nature of the examination being performed.
Communicate information regarding post-procedure care effectively.
Ensure appropriate radiation protection measures are taken to provide an ALARA environment for patients, coworkers, and self.
Understand the ALARA program and actively participate in the dosimetry program.
Complete required documentation related to patient care, imaging procedures, and RIS requirements.
Use positioning devices and other equipment properly to provide safe, accurate, and complete examinations.
Assist in instructing new personnel.
