CT Technologist II
About The Position
Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is seeking a full time weekend day shift CT Technologist. This role provides quality Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards. The technologist performs Computed Tomography (CT) per protocol, provides patient and family education, operates equipment safely, completes department documentation, and maintains all equipment to be clean and operational. They also maintain adequate supply inventory for performing examinations and follow radiation safety regulatory guidelines. Administration of CT Contrast per protocol is also a key responsibility. This position performs CT Technologist I responsibilities with the addition of one of the following: Intervention, Dual modality CT/Diag or Hospital Based/Standing ED.
Requirements
- Trade School Radiology program
- ARRT Required upon hire
- Must obtained ARRT (CT) advanced registry within 2 years of hire.
Responsibilities
- Perform Computed Tomography (CT) per protocol under the direction of a qualified physician.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Operate equipment safely.
- Complete department documentation.
- Maintain all equipment to be clean and operational.
- Maintain adequate supply inventory for performing examinations.
- Follow radiation safety regulatory guidelines.
- Administration of CT Contrast per protocol.
- Perform CT Technologist I responsibilities with addition of one of the following: Intervention, Dual modality CT/Diag or Hospital Based/Standing ED).
