About The Position

This position involves receiving and preparing patients, operating computerized, non-invasive scanning equipment to perform computerized tomography (CT) radiographic scans. These scans are used by radiologists and physicians to diagnose patient injuries and study body systems. The role reports to the Executive Director of Radiology/Imaging and is accountable to the Manager, working under the direction of a Radiologist.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Candidate for ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) (Radiology) certification. Must successfully complete certification exam and be registered within six months of start date.
  • ARRT (CT), (Computerized Tomography), certification required within one year of start date.
  • Current IEMA license
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in the correct use of body mechanics
  • Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association

  • Graduate of an accredited school in Radiologic Technology
