The CT tech utilizes all CT resources to perform high quality CT examinations on entire patient population (neonate through geriatrics) for interpretation by a physician. This role requires a graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology with one year of radiologic experience. The technologist must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Computed Tomography, and licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association. The ability to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision, function effectively in a team-oriented environment, and familiarity with age-specific criteria are essential.
