CT Technologist Apprentice
About The Position
Corewell Health is offering a paid apprenticeship program for a CT Technologist. This 16-week program combines online education through the ASRT with on-the-job training. Upon completion, participants will have met the ARRT's structured education requirements for CT and will receive 16 CE credits and a document from the ASRT. The program includes a requirement for a 1-year commitment as a CT Tech (at a .5 FTE status or higher) with Corewell Health, beginning after the apprenticeship and upon entering a CT Technologist position. The role involves performing diagnostic CT exams under general supervision, applying ALARA principles of radiation protection, and ensuring the best possible images for interpretation.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree
- Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required OR CRT-Nuclear Medicine Technologist – NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board OR CRT-Nuc Med Technologist (N) – ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
