This position performs Computed Tomography (CT) scans to create cross-sectional images of tissues and internal organs, to be used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The role involves preparing patients for scans, explaining procedures, administering contrast, positioning patients, selecting imaging techniques, and ensuring the technical quality of the scans. The technologist will also enter and monitor patient data, perform quality assurance on CT equipment, and may assist with accreditation applications. Additionally, the position requires identifying and reporting any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions, taking emergency call, and potentially working weekends and floating to other locations. The role emphasizes safe patient care, adherence to hospital policies, and promoting professional growth. It also involves creating compassionate and personalized experiences for patients and colleagues, modeling the organization's service standards.
