About The Position

Join Hillcrest Hospital Pryor as a PRN CT Tech. Hillcrest Hospital Pryor is a 48-bed acute care hospital offering a range of healthcare services including emergency, urology, ENT, gastroenterology, cardiology, orthopedics, general surgery, and wound care. This role operates under the direction of the Radiology Director and involves proficiently operating all routine CT and radiographic equipment. Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered, or be registry eligible, with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT certification upon hire)
  • CT registry is required within 1 year from date of hire (if not held at time of hire)
  • Technical or Associate’s radiography degree
  • Competency in components of Radiography practices
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care

Nice To Haves

  • Five years of Radiology/CT experience preferred
  • One year experience

Responsibilities

  • Operate all routine CT and radiographic equipment in a safe and proficient manner
  • Produce high quality CT examinations and radiographs with a minimum of repeats
  • Operate the C.T. scanner and Radiology equipment
  • Transportation of patients to and from the department
  • Managing the daily schedule
  • Handle multiple room assignments and all different types of exams on a daily basis
  • Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel
  • Directly oversee all duties assigned to first year x-ray students
  • Indirectly oversee all duties assigned to second year students
  • Assist in evaluation of student progress
  • Participate in CT performance improvement initiatives
  • Assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department
