About The Position
Join our team as a day shift, PRN, CT Tech in Tulsa, OK. Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital (TSSH) specializes in surgical services, diagnostic imaging and pain management. TSSH offers state-of-the-art MRI, computed tomography and myelography technology. TSSH offers a variety of services, such as anesthesia, ear, nose & throat, general surgery, GYN, GYN/oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry, radiology and spine care.
Requirements
- Associates degree from an accredited Radiology Program.
- ARRT Registered
- Must maintain registry status as set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.R.T.).
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- One year of X-Ray experience
- CT Registry required within 12 months of completing orientation.
Nice To Haves
- CT Registry or Registry eligible
- One year of experience in CT
Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostic tests, patient care, and selects appropriate technical factors to insure proper diagnosis of patients.
- Operate complex imaging equipment within the department including diagnostic radiology equipment.
- Able to gain IV access for the administration of contrast.
- Ensures imaging equipment is in proper working condition and reports malfunctions to the Radiology Manager.
- Must maintain appropriate exposure levels according to ALARA standards.
- Perform technical and clerical duties as delegated by Radiology Manager.
