About The Position

We are seeking a skilled CT Tech to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. This position requires an experienced professional who will be responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans on patients, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Requirements

  • Minimum Experience : 2 years as a CT Tech, with a strong background in performing diagnostic CT scans.
  • ARRT CT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • SCRQSA SC license (South Carolina Radiologic Technologists Certification)
  • 1 year of experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records is required.
  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, equipment, and patient care techniques.
  • Ability to operate a variety of imaging equipment and technologies with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Attention to detail in ensuring accurate imaging results and patient documentation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues with imaging equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including CT scans, following established protocols and ensuring patient safety at all times.
  • Position patients appropriately, adjusting machines to obtain the best images based on doctor orders.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients before, during, and after the procedure to ensure cooperation and optimal outcomes.
  • Evaluate CT images to ensure high-quality results and assess for any need for repeat images.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring that all imaging equipment is sanitized between uses.
  • Follow departmental guidelines for patient preparation, including proper contrast administration and monitoring.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to discuss diagnostic results and patient needs.
  • Adhere to the highest safety standards to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
  • Be available for on-call shifts as required, including rotating weekend shifts every third weekend.
  • Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and escalate technical problems as needed.
  • Document patient information, imaging details, and relevant medical history accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards for imaging procedures and patient privacy (HIPAA).
