About The Position

As a CT Tech within the Health Care Services industry, you will play a critical role in performing computed tomography (CT) scans to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. Your expertise will ensure high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient safety and comfort throughout the scanning process. You will collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to accurately capture and process diagnostic images. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program with a focus on computed tomography.
  • Certification as a CT Technologist by a recognized credentialing body (e.g., ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Valid state licensure to practice as a radiologic technologist where applicable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CT imaging techniques, radiation safety, and patient care standards.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
  • The required skills enable the CT Tech to operate complex imaging equipment accurately and safely, ensuring diagnostic images meet clinical standards.
  • Strong patient care and communication skills are essential for preparing patients, explaining procedures, and alleviating concerns, which enhances patient cooperation and scan quality.
  • Technical proficiency in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting helps minimize downtime and maintain consistent imaging performance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT scanning equipment to produce diagnostic images according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Prepare patients for CT procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Monitor patients during scans to detect any adverse reactions or complications and respond appropriately.
  • Maintain and calibrate CT equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to review images for quality and assist in preliminary assessments.
  • Document procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure confidentiality in compliance with healthcare regulations.
