Get to Know Your Team: Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is a 99-bed community-owned facility offering a variety of services for patients of all ages in the Cushing, Oklahoma area. The hospital offers 24-hour emergency services, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. In 2025, the hospital will add inpatient behavioral health services.

Requirements

• Vocational/Technical education
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.R.T.) or registry eligible
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care

Responsibilities

• Operating the C.T. scanner
• Transportation of patients to and from the department
• Handling telephone scheduling of inpatients and outpatients
• Calling the physician with the report of the exam
• Starting an IV line to administer contrast fluid
• Demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating the PACS computer system
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives
• Assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day to day operation of the department
