The CT Technologist Intern is a development position within the Singing River Health System, requiring the completion of an internal 4-month on-the-job training program. Interns work under the supervision of a preceptor and physician to provide radiologic care and services to patients. This involves arranging and operating equipment to produce images of the human body for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. The role ensures that the Radiology department meets current accreditation program and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists standards and achieves the Singing River Health System objectives. Interns are expected to operate equipment requiring detailed concentration for extended periods, stock an adequate inventory of supplies, and maintain quality control of procedures and quality assurance of equipment. All duties must be performed in accordance with Singing River Health System procedures and policies, accreditation organization, and governing guidance for healthcare employees. The position is part of Singing River Health System's mission to improve health and save lives in the community.
