Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Certification by the A.R.R.T.
Valid Iowa permit to practice.
One (1) year CT experience or cross-trained at Broadlawns Medical Center.
Ability to consistently meet the department work schedule as designated.
Consistently demonstrates a team approach to care.
Demonstrates effective communication strategies.
Familiarity with general computer applications.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of radiologic procedures including routine and special CT procedures within the limits of standard procedures of the Imaging Services Department.
Performs the additional duties of general radiology and procedures as needed.
Completes all annual hospital-wide mandatory training within defined timeframe (i.e. safety, corporate compliance, confidentiality).
Completes work with less than 5% error rate for image quality.
Utilizes time wisely. completing all patient exams in a timely manner. assisting others and performing departmental duties as needed. These duties may include restocking, housekeeping, patient safety and compliance improvements and inspection readiness.
Completes ASAP exams within one hour or as directed by radiologist and reports all stat exams within one hour.
